6v6 Format:
FIFA rules, with the minor modifications listed below, are used to
govern the play of 6 v 6 indoor soccer leagues at the Elite Training
Academy.
- Field size is smaller and varies by age as described elsewhere in this section
- Goal size is smaller
- U10 and older: 12” x 6’6”
- U6 and U8: 12’ x 6’6”
- Games have two 25-minute halves; with no halftime break just change of ends.
- There are 6 players on the field, including the goal keeper
- Each
team must bring a set of light colored and dark colored jerseys. In
case of conflict, as determined by the referee, the team designated as
‘home’ will change their jerseys.
- If the ball
touches the ceiling net, or any other part of the building (including
trusses, divider curtains, lights, etc.) over the field of play, a
kick-in will be given to the other team from the one that last touched
the ball.
- No throw ins. Play resumed via kick-ins
- Goal kicks cannot cross center mid-field line in the air. If they do other team's ball at the midfield line.
- Goalkeepers ane not allowed to put the ball
- No offsides rule
Other rule clarifications may be added form time to time.
3v3 Format:
Standard ‘Got Milk’ National Championship rules, with the minor
modifications listed below, are used to govern the play of 3 v 3 indoor
soccer leagues at the Elite Training Academy.
- Each
team must bring a set of light colored and dark colored jerseys. In
case of conflict, as determined by the referee, the team designated as
‘home’ will change their jerseys.
If the ball
touches the ceiling net, or any other part of the building (including
trusses, divider curtains, lights, etc.) over the field of play, a
kick-in will be given to the other team from the one that last touched
the ball.
Point System: 3 points for a victory; 1 point for a tie; 0 points for a loss;
Tie-Breakers will be decided in the following order:
- Two
teams -- head to head; goal differential (up to 6 per game);
least goals allowed; penalty kicks (1 step kicks - 3 players)
- Three teams -- same as above except does not include head to head results
